Since it's rare to see snow in Lynchburg (let alone 12 inches) Heath and I thought it was too good of an opportunity to pass up to go out an play in it. I think Peyton had the most fun of all!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Heath and I are getting very excited about the holidays. Unfortunately he'll be stuck working in Lynchburg over Christmas while I get to go visit my family in Omaha but then we'll both be headed to the Bahamas with the Ewings for New Years.

12 Weeks

It's hard to believe my first trimester is almost over. It's been a great couple of months except for a little nausea, tiredness and a very strange metallic taste in my mouth . . . oh, and my pants are starting to get a little tight!

Babies "R" . . . Overwhelming!

Heath and I made our first trip to Babies "R" Us yesterday (No picture apparently the batteries in my camera had died, It would've been quite a picture too - lots of confused looks!). Wow, who knew there are 50 different types of bottles and car seats. Luckily one of Heath's favorite things is to use Consumer Reports to do research - but any tips and advice greatly appreciated!! I'm definitely starting to understand why you get nine months to try and figure some of this stuff out!

Our baby's first picture

December 3rd, 2009 - 10 1/2 weeks, a healthy heartbeat, two arms and two legs and only ONE heartbeat!! whew

A little early . . .

At eight weeks it might be a little early to start seeing the "baby bump" but we figured we needed a before picture. Any bump here is probably due to a little too much ice cream then a growing baby!

The Beginning

It's looking like 2010 is going to be a pretty big year for the two of us so we decided to finally jump on the bandwagon and begin our own blog. This year I'm going to be hitting the big 3-0. (Heath just turned 30 in August), we're going to be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and . . . probably the biggest event of the year will be the arrival of our first child in late June!
Being so far from family and friends can be tough but we'll make sure to keep everyone updated on all the happenings!
